Meetings and calendar

The Meetings plugin shows your next calendar event in the menu bar, counts down to it, and can cover the screen with a join card when it starts. Mini Calendar and Reminders put the date and your to-do list beside it.

Meetings

meetings.js reads the calendars in the macOS Calendar app, so any account you added there (iCloud, Google, Exchange) works. It refreshes every 30 seconds.

The menu bar item shows the title of the next timed event and, under it, how long until it starts, such as in 1h 15m. While the meeting runs, the second line reads Now · 25m left. With no meeting ahead, the item shows only a calendar icon. All-day events never take the menu bar.

Click the item for today's agenda:

The launcher command Next Meeting opens the next meeting's link.

The meeting overlay

When a meeting starts, Meetings shows a full-screen card with the event title, a Join button, a Close button, and a QR code of the join link, so you can join from your phone. The card counts the minutes since the start. It shows once per meeting, and only within the first five minutes, so a Mac that wakes from sleep late does not show it for a meeting that is already well under way.

Turn the card off with the Meeting overlay setting.
